Maxcom received a recognition for good educatioanl practice
The team which represented Maxcom at this event was congratulated by the deputy director of the high school for the professional presentation and the professionalism, which was demonstrated in the implementation of this program.
The company management admired the efforts of its employees who worked on the project and especially the time and patience of Damyan Kostov who was directly involved with the children, helping them to study, correct and keep in line with their interest and curiosity.
Acknowledging how important the relationship between business and education is, our company started a good training practice in cooperation with the Professional High School in Electrical Engineering and Electronics in Plovdiv. The project launched this autumn with the beginning of new school year. It is based on the dual training principle. The program teaches 6 students from the specialty of Microprocessor equipment, who have practical courses held in the production facilities of our company.
The students have mentors, who are our employees with many years of experience and extensive knowledge, who have completed a course for mentors in the Professional High School in Electrical Engineering and Electronics. They acquainted children with the whole process of producing a bicycle and showed them different operations that are closely related to the sciences studied in their high school.
The professionals-to-be were very enthusiastic and showed excellent results, according to the words of their mentors. Students are now able to read drawings easily and are well acquainted with the programming of a bicycle. In addition to the practical training, young people are given various assignments guiding them toward the preparation of a small project that should be presented in the class room.
The program of Maxcom and the Professional High School in Electrical Engineering and Electronics is an example of how business and education can go hand in hand and how dual training can be beneficial for both educational institutions and companies, which create and recruit their prospective personnel.
