Maxcom was part of the first-ever "Career Fair"
The first-ever “Career Fair” took place, bringing together businesses, educational institutions, and students currently enrolled in dual education programs, as well as those who are about to choose where to continue their education after 7th grade.

The event was organized by the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ) Cluster, with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv and the Regional Department of Education.

Maxcom was among the participants in the event, which was held on May 10 at the square near the Central Post Office. It brought together 13 companies and 10 vocational schools from the Plovdiv region, creating a distinct platform for dialogue between businesses and their future workforce.

The schools and companies had their own booths, where the former demonstrated what students had learned and emphasized the professions of the future, while the latter responded to labor market demands by offering students hands-on training opportunities within their actual work processes.

This kind of dynamic was exactly the intended impact of the event, according to the organizers. It sparked questions and, thanks to direct interaction, gave students clearer ideas about what their future professional paths might look like based on the educational paths they choose today.

At our booth, visitors had the chance to explore sample activities from the bicycle industry and see fascinating aspects of the bicycle development process — demonstrated by students themselves.

“It’s important to invest in professional education, because we need young people who are equipped with practical skills,” said Katya Stoykova, Executive Director of TEZ.

We’d like to remind you that Maxcom is an example of good educational practice, as the company hosts students from the Vocational School of Electrical Engineering and Electronics in Plovdiv, who are undergoing training in a dual education format.
